Vintage Native American Beaded Pictorial Belt Buckle Bison Buffalo Plains

This vintage beaded belt buckle is quite exceptional in its depiction of an American bison. The artist's use of color is obviously very striking and within the body of the animal are even tinier beads, as you can see. Mid 20th century, I believe. It measures about 4.25" x 3 1/8". In good vintage condition overall, although the bottom and the top rims of the buckle may be missing a few beads. Please take a close look at the photos. It's an unusual and beautiful buckle.
