Plains Indian Beaded Leggings Vintage & Beautiful
Presented today is this vintage and very beautiful pair of Plains Indian Beaded. It comes from an estate of a dear, departed friend who was a respected lecturer, teacher and museum curator.
She was part Cheyenne, and lectured and demonstrated extensively on Plains Indian cultures. Also, in the 1960's, she traveled the northern plains on the Pow Wow circuit, participating in dances, either singly or with a dance troupe.
I believe this artifact dates from that time. The beadwork is in excellent condition, without any bead loss. The overall size is 13 inches by 15 inches, with a leather fringe and metal tinklers.
