NATIVE AMERICAN Buffalo Hide Purse, Fully Beaded in Lane Stich on front, Signed by CHARLES & HAZEL FAST HORSE 15 × 8" with 4.5" fringe. Weighs about 1.5 pounds.

Fast Horse was a well-known artist, one of the founders of Prairie Edge, known for replica Indian Wars period weapons and articles. After their marriage, Hazel was a contributor to the art.

Signed and dated in 1995. Period correct beads and beadwork.

The thong shown keeps the purse from opening more than about 4 and holds it securely closed. Obituary of Charles Fast Horse written after his death in 2015 is pictured and is included.

It describes his many other activites, including that of a spiritual healer, and other service. We bought this and other items made by this couple at a powwow a number of years ago.
