First the Zuni artists carve a wooden form and then they bead over it, using the peyote stitch and seed or glass beads. With a continuous strand, Zuni beaders meticulously create wonderful patterns throughout their beadwork. Zuni artist Todd Poncho hand beaded this fabulous lizard with an amazing amount of detail. Todd is also a Zuni fetish carver and his fetishes are as wonderful as his beadwork. 1 3/8" tall x 9" long x 2 5/8 wide.
