ZUNI BEADED NATIVITY BY FARLAN & ALESIA QUETAWKI. Zuni beadwork has evolved from tourist souvenirs to detailed pieces of folk art. First the Zuni artists carve a wooden form and then they bead over it, using the peyote stitch and seed or glass beads.

With a continuous strand, Zuni beaders meticulously create beautiful patterns throughout their beadwork. This exquisite nativity was hand beaded by award winning artists Farlan and Alesia Quetawki. 5 1/2" tall x 12 1/4" long x 5 3/8 wide.

Jesus in Manger- 1" tall x 3 1/4" long x 1 5/8 wide. Mary- 1 3/4" tall x 1 3/4" long x 1 3/8 wide. Joseph & Wisemen- 2 1/4" tall x 1 1/2" long x 3/4 wide. Angel- 2 1/8" tall x 1 3/8" long x 1 1/8 wide. Zuni Pueblo is the largest pueblo in New Mexico, and because of its location, Zuni is the most traditional.
