This beautiful necklace was designed and handmade by an unknown Native American artist. That being said, the person's tribal affiliation is unknown. It is not an old piece and it never has been worn, so the condition is like new.
The pendant on the necklace is a turtle. The beaded leather turtle features an intricate design of multi-colored beads, the predominant color being green. The 28-inch necklace is made with leather string, which is strung with 1 and 3/4 inch white natural bone beads, the predominant bead on the necklace. The bone beads are all separated by three beads, a copper, a green crow bead and then another copper making a stunning design.
The leather string necklace has a tie clasp which can be adjusted for a specific wearer.
