Beaded Cradle Board Oglala Lakota Sioux by Kevin Fast Horse

Beaded Cradle Board by Native American, Oglala Lakota Artist Kevin Fast Horse. This is a beautifully beaded traditional Lakota Cradle Board by master beading artist Kevin D Fast Horse.

You can find his museum-quality pieces in high-end shops (when you can find them) and from the Prairie Edge & Sioux Trading Post. Please look the pictures over carefully. We displayed this in a different location (not over the heater as pictured) away from sunlight in a smoke-free environment. The slats measure 40" and the cradle measures approximately 22" x 8 wide. You can find a lot of videos with Kevin talking about his beadwork and his designs on Youtube.

It will be well-packed with lots of stickers showing it is fragile. From Prairie Edge & Sioux Trading Post. Was born to Douglas A. Fast Horse and Carol L. Morrison in Rapid City SD on June 18, 1963.

He later lived with his grandmother Elizabeth Fast Horse. Kevin continues to reside in Rapid City with his wife Mary Louise Pourier-Fast Horse and their three boys.

Kevin is an enrolled member of the Oglala Lakota of the Pine Ridge Indian reservation located in South Dakota. Kevin began beading when he was 5 years old, his family taught him the basics and this helped launch his long career as a beadwork master. His beginnings included scatter beading and lane stitch on small bags.

Later he added belt buckles and hatbands to his growing list of talents. Today he creates magnificent geometric patterns and animal or paw images on leather, hides and even framed pieces. His skill captures the naturalistic beauty of animals significant to the Lakota culture. PLEASE DO NOT BOTHER OFFERING HALF OF MY ASKING PRICE.

But I will NEVER accept a low-ball half-off offer. I price my pieces slightly above wholesale and below retail and often have a very small margin. MESSAGE ME WITH THE LIST.
