Antique Native American NW Coast Salish Deerskin Floral Beaded Moccasins

Antique moccasins made by an unknown artisan from what is believed to be the Northwest Coast Salish tribe. They are of course handmade, they come from a collection in Vancouver, BC, Canada.

The deerskin material is nice and soft, the toes are adorned with multi-colored floral beading. Believed to have been crafted in the early 1900's.

The provenance and ownership history of these moccasins are available, nonetheless a valuable collectible item for those interested in Indigenous art and clothing. These would make a unique addition to any collection. These appear to be in original condition, they likely have been used as intended. There is loose and worn stitching, as well as some missing beads along one floral stem.
