This Antique NATIVE AMERICAN INDIAN Beaded Cree VEST is a beautifully handmade piece dating back to the early 20th century. With a tribal affiliation to the Cree, this vest reflects the rich cultural heritage of Native American craftsmanship in the United States.

Some beadwork is missing shown in the pictures. Some wear to the cloth. The back panel is either suede or velvet. It has a little patch near the top on the rear shown in the pictures. I bought this piece as part of a complete outfit used by the Boy Scouts in the 1920s.

The buckskin moccasins are Cheyenne, and the beaded flannel armbands are Crow, and the beaded anklets are Navajo (Arizona, New Mexico) The buckskin pants are boyscout made. The Boy Scouts thought the vest was Iroquois, the moccasins were Sioux, the armbands cuffs were thought to be Kiowa, and the anklets were Navajo.
