The inside of a mocassin is painted with a red, blue and green pattern. On the sole it is written the number "10". And other text by now almost faded. They still have the tag of the Ian West collection, with the item number.
The little leaf note is from previous collectors. Ian West (1924- 2015) was a renowned expert of Native American cultures and artifacts. He was a friend of Edward H. Blackmore, the foremost authority of Indians in the UK at the time and some few years later Colin Taylor, a noted scholar and collector on the same subject.
